In line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013 (“the Act”) we:

• Accept joint responsibility and accountability with you to responsibly manage and protect your Personal Information when providing our service to you.
• Undertake to receive, only from you, and process the Personal Information that is necessary for the purpose to assist you with your specific mandate to us;
• Respect your right to withdraw your consent for the processing of your
Personal Information.
• Undertake to only use your Personal Information for the purpose required to assist you or provide a legal service to you;
• Undertake not to share or process your Personal Information if not so required
by law;
• Undertake to be open and transparent and notify you as and when required by law why and how your Personal Information need to be collected.
• Undertake to safeguard and protect your Personal Information in our possession, to update and correct the Personal Information in our possession;
• Undertake and freely confirm which Personal Information we have in our possession, to update and correct the Personal Information and not to keep it longer than legally required.

From time to time we will be required to collect, use and keep your personal information as prescribed by law for reasons such as:

• To share with you relevant and related information about our services;
• For the purpose of completing your mandate to our firm;
• To maintain our relationship with you as our valued client;
• To render an effective and sufficient service to you including updating, reporting and replying to your queries adding to your mandate;
• For operational purposes as may be required by law.
• For audit and record keeping purposes to confirm and verify your authorisation.

We may need to share your Private information and/or utilise software or online platforms, enter and process your information in delivering our legal service to you. This will be done in strict adherence and in accordance with The Act.
